‘Sharp spike in hate crimes, sectarian violence, anti-India actions’, MEA tells Indians to be ‘vigilant’

New Delhi: An advisory for Indian nationals and scholars in Canada to stay vigilant amid expanding incidents of crimes and anti-India actions in the rustic has been issued by means of the Ministry of Exterior Affairs.

The Ministry of Exterior Affairs (MEA) stated that Indian missions in Canada have taken up those incidents with the Canadian government and asked them to probe those crimes.

“There was a pointy build up in incidents of hate crimes, sectarian violence and anti-India actions in Canada. The Ministry of Exterior Affairs and our Top Fee/Consulates Common in Canada have taken up those incidents with the Canadian government and asked them to examine the stated crimes and take suitable motion,” the MEA stated in a remark whilst stressing that “the perpetrators of those crimes have now not been introduced to justice up to now in Canada.”
